Orange Armenia, 100% subsidiary of France Telecom, has received the license of telecommunication services in Armenia on November 19th 2008.
After one year of preparation works Orange launched its services on November 5, 2009 on the whole territory of the Republic of Armenia. Orange provides a full range of voice and data services, through its nationwide 3G+ network, thereby joining a community of 30 other Orange countries representing close to 126 million customers across the world.
By November 2009, 90 million dollars have already been invested in Armenia, dedicated to the construction of the network, distribution channels, development of products and services. In less than one year Orange has become a large community in Armenia: with 300 employees, franchisees and indirectly Orange has created employment for over 800 people who are actually working to deliver Orange. With 38 shops, 13 of which are in Yerevan and 25 in the regions and many other smaller points of sales, Orange will stay close to the customer and offer new approaches.
